It only took 16 years to do the
second in the Chinese Silk series. Unfortunately, other things had priority
but now I can accomplish my goals! This was one of the chinese silk pieces
given to my mother (circa WWII)
by an admirer years ago. The first Chinese Silk I featured the other silk
piece.
Red was always a challenge in getting the vibrance of the color. I felt I
had succeeded here and the easy flow
of the watercolor washes on the skin pleased me very much.
This series featured the nude almost as a design rather than a figure painting
in my mind.
A limited edition of 200 giclee prints are available
of this painting for $100.00. The print size is 10.5" x 12".
