disposable pallette and pallette knife for paint mixing. Painting medium - Liquitex Blending and Painting medium Acrylic Painting canvas pad (9 x 12) or larger drawing pencils (at least have an HB pencil) Kneaded rubber eraser or vinyl eraser Colors: The following are available in the Liquitex Basics series (which is a student grade paint and not as expensive as the regular Liquitex line. If you are just starting out this is probably just fine. If you wish to upgrade to the regular Liquitex line or any good brand of acrylics (there are a wide variety). Do not buy Maries paints or any craft paints. Cadmium Red Medium Brushes: When it comes to brushes I have found the numbers for long and short handles varies ( a #10 long is a smaller tip than a #10 short, which is quite fat). I believe the short handled brushes are generally watercolor brushes or brushes for work at a table versus long handles which are generally used at an easel. Nylon brushes are good for acrylics and are quite inexpensive (2.99 and up depending on size). 3/4 inch flat brush nylon brushes #2, #6 & #10 short handles You may also purchase these in long handles if you prefer but just pay attention to the sizes as these numbers will not coincide.Such as a #12 long handle brush may be quite small. We will expand on the brushes and colors after your project gets started and see what needs arise. It would be great if you have a picture you wish to work from otherwise I do have many reference sources at the studio.
