Workshop in Italy, Summer 2005
These are some photos and art accomplished at the Etruscan Places Workshop in Civita Castellana in the summer of 2005. I went there on a landscape painting workshop (The Roman Campagna Workshop). This is an area I felt I needed more experience in and this workshop seemed to be the one to do it in. At this workshop, we spend most of our time painting and the folks who run it (Joe Vinson & Maddine Insalco) take care of all the details such as transportation and the most delicious lunches I've ever had set up on the site. The workshop was fabulous and I took away many great memories and good painting experience. For more information on this great workshop check out this link: http://www.landscapepainting.com
Just one of the great views in Civita Castellana. This is the view of Mt.Soratte. This is the
first day of the workshop. I am not an outdoor painter so, I thought this will be good for me!Well, it
was better than good. Joe and Maddine scoped out all these private sites around the town for us to
go set up and paint all day. No weird passersby to get in your face. Magnifico! (That's the extent of my Italian.)
